SCHMIDT, ARCHITEKT Published in 1934 by the author, Berlin-Lichterfelde. Hardbound, 196 pages. In 1933 Carl Schmidt, expert on the Russian Zemstvo stamps, bequeathed his extensive colletion to Postal Museum in Berlin. In 1934 he wrote and published the highly specialised catalogue of this collection. The book became a classic on the Zemstvo issues and important reference work. Published in a limited edition of only 300 copies, this excellent handbook and catalog has become very scarce and sought after. An outstanding publication in the original green cloth edition. I very fine condition.
